Intelligence is finished! It’s now a flash fiction, which you can read more about here. I approached it using a style of narration that mixes the character’s internal monologue with computer prompts. Well, with additional stylized monologue that’s based on how computer prompts read. Processing, override, negative positive, so on. (I have an “affirmative” in there but the yes/no back and forth is there.) It looks a little odd on the page, but reads surprisingly well and I’ve received positive feedback already. All the same, it go me thinking: What is the strangest type of formatting you’ve used in your writing? Did you publish it? Did you want to? Share your stories in the comments!
